Usage & Limits
Slate MCP is available on Standard and Pro plans. Each plan has rate limits to ensure fair usage and a credit system for AI-powered operations.
Rate limits
Section titled “Rate limits”Rate limits are applied per user and reset automatically.

If you hit a rate limit, wait for the window to reset and try again. Your AI assistant will receive a message indicating which limit was reached and when it resets.
Credit costs
Section titled “Credit costs”Most MCP tools are free to use. Only AI-powered operations consume credits:

Use check_credits to see your current balance at any time. Before generating, your assistant outlines the proposed course (sections, lessons, and assessment) in chat so you can confirm it before spending the 1,250 non-refundable credits.
Tools by plan
Section titled “Tools by plan”Every MCP tool is available on both paid plans. Standard and Pro users get the full set: course creation, previews, library management, reviews, Share & Track, tag management, account statistics, and cross-app tools. Plans differ only in rate limits and monthly credit allowances, not in which tools you can use.

Credits can also be purchased separately. Check your balance anytime by asking your AI assistant to run check_credits.
