Batch Import

Requires a Pro plan.

Batch import lets you import multiple SCORM packages at once, making it easy to migrate an entire course library into Slate.

Batch import uses a two-phase pipeline (parse first, then import) so you can review each course before committing.

  1. From your dashboard, click Import and select Batch Import
  2. Upload up to 25 .zip files at once (drag and drop or browse)
  3. Slate parses each file and displays a summary showing section, lesson, and block counts
  4. Any warnings (unsupported blocks, skipped content) appear immediately so you can review before importing
  1. Click Import All Ready to begin importing all parsed courses, or import individual courses one at a time
  2. Courses import sequentially with a progress bar for each file
  3. Optionally apply batch tags to all imported courses at once, useful for organizing a migrated library
  • Multi-file upload - drag and drop or browse for up to 25 files
  • Mixed sources - import Rise and Slate SCORM files in the same batch
  • Batch tagging - apply tags to all imported courses with autocomplete
  • Sequential processing - files process one at a time with real-time progress
  • Error recovery - retry failed files individually without restarting the entire batch
  • Debug logs - copy detailed logs per file for troubleshooting

Each file in the batch moves through the following stages:

StatusDescription
QueuedWaiting to be parsed
ProcessingBeing parsed and validated
ReadyParsed successfully, waiting for import
ImportingMedia uploading and course saving
CompleteSuccessfully imported to your library
ErrorSomething went wrong. Review logs and retry.
