Install the App
Slate can be installed as a Progressive Web App (PWA) on your computer, giving you a standalone app experience with its own window, dock/taskbar icon, and faster load times, no browser tabs required.

Install on Chrome
Section titled “Install on Chrome”- Open app.slatebuilder.io in Chrome
- Click the install icon in the address bar (or go to the browser menu and select Install Slate)
- Click Install in the confirmation dialog
Slate will open in its own window and appear in your dock or taskbar. You can launch it like any other app.
Install on Safari (macOS)
Section titled “Install on Safari (macOS)”- Open app.slatebuilder.io in Safari
- Go to File → Add to Dock
Slate will appear in your macOS Dock as a standalone app.

Known limitations
Section titled “Known limitations”- iOS and iPadOS are not currently supported. Preview links may not function correctly on iOS devices. We’re working on resolving this.
- The installed app requires an internet connection: it’s not available offline.
