Account Setup
Get started by creating a free Slate account at app.slatebuilder.io.
Creating an account
Section titled “Creating an account”- Go to app.slatebuilder.io and click Sign Up
- Sign up with your Google account, or enter your name, email, and a password (6 characters minimum)
- You’re taken to the dashboard, ready to create your first course
Free accounts include up to 5 courses and 1,500 AI credits per month. You can upgrade to a Standard or Pro plan at any time from your account settings.
Onboarding
Section titled “Onboarding”When you first sign in, Slate presents three options to get started:
- Generate with AI - describe your course topic and let AI create a draft for you
- Import a Course - upload a SCORM package from Rise or a previously exported Slate course
- Start from scratch - create a blank course and build it yourself
Choose whichever path fits your workflow. You can always create more courses later using any method.
Profile settings
Section titled “Profile settings”Access your profile settings from the user menu in the top-right corner of the dashboard.
- Display name - your name, shown on the dashboard and in review comments
- Role - your professional role (optional)
- Password - change your password (requires your current password)
Plans and billing
Section titled “Plans and billing”Slate offers three plan tiers:

Manage your subscription from Settings in the user menu.
