Lessons

Lessons are individual pages of content within a section. Each lesson contains one or more blocks that make up the learning experience. When learners navigate your course, they move through it one lesson at a time.

Creating a lesson

1. In Course Overview, click Add Lesson at the bottom of any section
2. A new lesson is created with the title “Untitled Lesson”
3. Click the title to rename it
4. Click the edit button to open the lesson editor and add blocks

Adding blocks to a lesson

In the lesson editor, you can add blocks in three ways:

• Blocks sidebar - click the Blocks tab in the left sidebar and select a block type to append it to the end of the lesson
• Templates sidebar - click the Templates tab to insert a saved block template
• Insert between blocks - hover between any two blocks to reveal a ”+” button, then select a block type from the dropdown menu to insert it at that position

Reordering lessons

Drag lessons by their handle to reorder them within a section. You can also drag a lesson into a different section to move it there.

Duplicating a lesson

Click the copy icon on a lesson row in Course Overview to duplicate it. The duplicate includes all blocks and their content, and is placed in the same section.

Deleting a lesson

Click the trash icon on a lesson row. A brief countdown appears with an Undo option, giving you a few seconds to cancel the deletion before it takes effect.

Lesson completion

In the published course, a lesson is marked as complete when the learner views it. The navigation sidebar shows completion indicators for each lesson, so learners can track their progress through the course.
